i'm not really too sure what to expect from flo and the hydra. but a solid rock show with sounder (which will thankfully put us in front of a crowd of non-Hipsters) is gonna be a good time.
Of course, I heard a rumor that Gil Scott-Heron was playing CSU that night. Lawrence and r.a., the Black Ben Franklin and the Black Cicero, respectively, have gotten me hip to GSH of late and are going. It could be fun, funky, and enlightening. Perhaps after a bit of bass-slinging with the NLR I can pack up the Road Pony and hit that show.

the dawning of a new era
As if i don't write enough. I write the goddamn copy for the Beachland Ballroom website (in addition to pretty much everything else there, it seems), have been a freelance writer for the Free Times, Scene, Northern Ohio Live, and the Plain Dealer, and in addition to that, if I'm nicotized and caffeinated, I can talk up a streak, which in my mind is just as effective (and a hell of a lot easier) than writing.
But I'm also a bass player of the electric variety. And I think that's what this blog is going to be about. I'll be posting music news as it relates to the Municipality of Cleveland, its surrounding environs, and perhaps places outside of Our Town as the situation warrants.
Befitting an egomanic like myself, I'm also going to be using this blog to let people know when I'm playing. That's the short term plan; the long-term is to slap the entirety of my musical output up on-line for the Public to hear. Uploading the entirety of the Conservatives, Proletarian Art Threat, (early) Viva Caramel, Thirteen Days, Lives of the Saints, Sneakoscope, New Lou Reeds, Hook Boy, and who-knows-what-else is going to be a good excuse for me to enhance my web-chops.
Why indulge my vanity? More has been written about much, much less.
